La configuration des cultures du jardin potager de Jehay répond à plusieurs nécessités : historique, pédagogique, esthétique et écologique. Les plants et semis sont en partie fournis par le Centre Provincial d’Enseignement Agronomique de La Reid.
Les légumes sont soit laissés monter en graines afin d’être utilisés dans un but didactique pour les activités scolaires, soit distribués dans des banques alimentaires, soit vendus à la boutique du château.
 

De samenstelling van de teelten in de moestuin van Jehay voldoet aan meerdere behoeften: historisch, pedagogisch, esthetisch en ecologisch. De jonge plantjes en het zaaigoed worden deels verschaft door de provinciale onderwijsinstelling Centre Provincial d’Enseignement Agronomique de La Reid.
Men laat de groenten ofwel doorschieten om ze te gebruiken voor lesdoeleinden tijdens schoolactiviteiten, ofwel worden ze verdeeld onder voedselbanken, ofwel verkocht in het winkeltje van het kasteel.
 

The configuration of crops in the kitchen garden at Jehay satisfies several needs: historical, educational, aesthetic and ecological. Plants and seeds are, in part, provided by the Centre Provincial d’Enseignement Agronomique de La Reid (La Reid Provincial Centre for Agricultural Education).
The vegetables may either go to seed, so that they can be used for educational purposes in school activities, or distributed to food banks, or sold in the shop at the castle.
 

Die Konfiguration der Kulturen im Gemüsegarten von Jehay deckt Bedürfnisse historischer, pädagogischer, ästhetischer und ökologischer Natur. Die Pflanzen und Setzlinge werden zum Teil vom Centre Provincial d’Enseignement Agronomique von La Reid bereitgestellt.
Das Gemüse wird entweder als Saatgut belassen, um es für pädagogische Zwecke in der Schule zu verwenden, oder es wird an Hilfsorganisationen verteilt oder im schlosseigenen Laden verkauft.
